Logging a Bug

We have worked hard to make Connexion bug free, however; in the event that you find an issue with Connexion please take the time to log a bug with us. Use this guide to ensure that we have the proper information to fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Step-by-step guide

Error installing or starting Connexion

If you have a problem installing Connexion, or you cannot connect to the Connexion service, please ZIP compress the contents of the following directory and attach it to the JIRA ticket.

c:\ProgramData\ConnexionV14\logs

Otherwise, please follow the steps below to capture information about your configuration. This will help us narrow down the issue.

  1. Click on the bug report button found at the top right of the Connexion.Client application
  2. This dialog will pop-up a dialog that will automatically create a zip password protected file containing log files, and system information that will help us track down the issue.
  3. If the issue you are reporting is related to a particular channel, or set of channels, please include these in the bug report by selecting them in the "Include Channel(s)" section of the dialog.
  4. Once the relevant information has been added to the bug report, click the "Create Bug Report". This will generate a password protected zip file.
  5. If the issue is data related, please add a sample data message (such as HL7, text, or XML) to the zip file that was generated in (4).
  6. If the issue is related to some aspect of the User Interface, please include a screen shot of the application in the zip file.
  7. Please email this zip file to support@HL7Spy.com.

Please take care when adding message data to the zip file that you do NOT send PHI (Patient Health Information). The files that are added by Connexion are encrypted, however; those that are added separately will be readable by others should they get a hold of the zip file.
