System devices are special devices that are part of almost every channel created in Connexion. They are the devices responsible for queuing up messages and controlling the flow of those messages through the channel, as well as a device to provide documentation on the channel and an email distribution device.
In previous versions of Connexion, the System devices were available on the System toolbar. That toolbar was replaced with the System group of devices on the Add/Edit Channel screen.
