Non Processing Channels

Non Processing Channels

This feature has been superseded by improvements to the Object Registry API. It has been removed in favor of ‘High Priority’ channels, which are loaded and started before other channels.

Non Processing Channels are a special type of channel which is loaded prior to standard channels. These channels cannot be started or stopped; their primary purpose is to enable the Object Registry feature. Devices / Channels which register shared objects must be loaded prior to channels which consume those shared objects. Mark an object registering channel as Non Processing by using the checkbox at the bottom of the edit channel dialog:

Non Processing channels have a different title color and a hatched background.
