Kafka Reader Device

Read Kafka messages using the Kafka reader device.

The majority of the fields displayed directly expose typical Kafka configuration fields. These should be provided by your Kafka administrator.

The ‘Empty Queue Sleep’ field is an internal setting which controls the interval at which the reader device will check for new messages once the reader has reached the end of the topic.

Setting the sleep time to 0 will immediately pick up any new messages, however it will completely tie up a thread (per reader device). We do not recommend this unless latency is critical.
