Provides detailed statistics of all messages in the active message collection. Statistics are available for each message type, for all message types, as well as each field, component, and sub-component.

  • Max Samples - Controls the number of messages that are analyzed to produce the statistics. The more samples requested, the longer the statistics will take to produce
  • Message Type Tree - The tree below shows statistics about the types of messages and segments that were found in the message stream. The *** message shows the segments found across all message types. In the example below, you will see that only 8 ADT^A01, and 530 ADT^A04 messages were found. Also, of the 10,000 messages analyzed, 100% contained the PID segment

Table Column Descriptions

Path - The HL7 Path

# - Then number of occurs where the field was filled in (ie. not null)

% - The percent of time the field was filled in

Size - The min size and maximum size of the field found in the sample space

Description - The description of the field including the type of field according to the HL7 Standard

Sample - 1, or more sample values from the sample space

R - Defined as a Repeating field according to the HL7 Standard

O - R = Required, O = Optional

Max - Maximum field length allowed according to the HL7 Standard

Item - The item number defined by the HL7 Standard
