The Remote Integrator was designed to be fully remotely managed. In the majority of cases, it is a transparent transport and translation layer, which customers do not interact with. While this model works well for most deployments, some customers may want to view the detailed status of the Remote Integrator without contacting customer support.

Remote Integrator service and connection status are exposed to customers via the system tray application. This application can also be used to create bug reports and run system health checks.

The Remote Agent Local UI application provides detailed read-only information to users on the same network as the remote agent. It is designed to give end-users limited insights into the system state, including:

  • View channel and device state (running/paused/stopped)

  • View device configuration (read-only, by default)

    • Custom devices (or portions of) can explicitly be marked editable by device authors.

  • Search and view messages within queues (both incoming and outgoing).

  • View processing history.

  • Perform message tracing and timing.

  • Optionally perform a limited set of message functions, such as message reprocessing, manually queuing, etc.

The Remote Agent Local UI application is distributed as a distinct msi which you may optionally provide to customers.
